feasting on home made bread, butter, and jam
4A feasts!

Take a few minutes to reflect on (think about) our Colonial Day. What was your favorite Colonial activity? Was it:

  • baking bread
  • preparing strawberries for jam
  • making butter
  • weaving
  • the colonial games
  • sharing a colonial meal

On the discussion page, write a paragraph about the day. Your subject title should be something like: " Our Colonial Day". Tell about what you enjoyed. Give details about your favorite activity. While I know you all liked our recess time, please don't comment on this, as it wasn't specifically colonial!!!
Be sure to :
1. Write in complete sentences
2. Use capitals
3. Use punctuation
4. Start your paragraph with a topic sentence
5. If a word is underlined in red, it is most likely misspelled. Find the correct spelling by either doing a right click with the mouse, or hit control + apple +click (for Apples)
6. indent (tab or 8 spaces)

Below are some examples of how to start your paragraph. Don't copy mine! Be original!

ex. 1 If you want to write about the day in general:
My colonial day field trip showed me how much work kids had to do in the days of Colonial times. We had to get our berries clean and de-stemmed. That made my fingers hurt!
We also got to.......

ex. 2 If you want to write about a specific activity:
Being a Colonial baker must have been the best job! I really enjoyed mixing, kneading, ....
